Grace Baptist Church was founded on August 18, 1961, with a heartfelt mission to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and minister to the spiritual and practical needs of the people of Zwedru. Strategically located on Broad Street in central Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, the church quickly became a place of gathering, worship, and transformation for individuals and families across the community.
What began as a small congregation eighteen people driven by faith and prayer has grown into a strong and vibrant church family. Throughout the decades, Grace Baptist Church has remained rooted in the truth of God’s Word and committed to discipleship, fellowship, and service. From Sunday worship to community outreach, our church continues to be a source of healing and restoration.
Today, Grace Baptist Church stands as a Testimony of hope, faith, and love in Zwedru and beyond. A place where broken hearts are mended, hope is restored to the hopeless, and joy is brought to the weary. By God’s grace, we are not just a church building, we are a spiritual home where everybody is somebody, and where lives are transformed for eternity.
As we honor our rich history, we look forward with faith and purpose, trusting God to lead us into even greater things for His glory.
At Grace Baptist Church Zwedru, our core values are more than words. They represent our commitment to God, one another, and the mission He has given us. We are committed to preaching and living out the whole counsel of God, allowing His truth to guide our actions, shape our character, and transform our lives. Prayer is our lifeline to God, and worship is our heartfelt response to His greatness. We value both personal and corporate prayer as essential to spiritual growth and church unity. Through worship, whether in song, giving, or service, we express our love, reverence, and gratitude to God. We desire to be a worshiping church that welcomes the presence of the Holy Spirit in every gathering.
We are called to love others as Christ loves us. At Grace Baptist Church, we seek to extend grace, kindness, and compassion to everyone regardless of background, status, or situation.
